I grew up in the shadow of a dump truck.
My dad ran dump trucks. I grew up around them — the diesel, the early mornings, the pride of a load hauled and a job done right. I loved it. I would have driven them for a living, no question.
But I have a medical condition that keeps me out of the driver's seat — I can't safely operate that kind of machinery. For a while, that felt like a door slammed shut on the only world I knew.
So I found the other door. If I couldn't move the loads, I could fight for the people who do. I put everything into learning the business side — the accounting, the bidding, the certifications, the contracts — the exact stuff that quietly sinks good owner-operators who are great drivers but were never taught the paperwork.
This company is that fight. It's for my dad, and for every owner-operator getting squeezed out of an industry they gave their life to.
I couldn't drive the truck. So I decided to protect the people who can.
That's the whole reason Plum St. Consulting exists — real experience, real skin in the game, and a plain-spoken partner who actually knows this world.
