One truck in 2012.
Denny Marsh bought his first tri-axle — a tired '06 Kenworth — in 2012 and started hauling gravel out of the Kapowsin pits. Fourteen years later, Rainier Rock & Dirt runs five trucks, employs seven people, and hauls for the biggest earthwork contractors in the South Sound.
We stayed deliberately small. Every driver knows every customer. The owner still drives Truck 101 most mornings, and his wife Tammy runs the books from the office trailer at the yard. When you call us, a person who was on a jobsite this week answers the phone.
